When u chip a tooth & the dentist puts that thing on your tooth..does that bleach with the rest of your teeth?

um they call it acrylic, or maybe they just use acrylic? idk. but i wanna get my teeth bleached when i get my braces off but when i was little i chipped my tooth (slipping on ice). so will it bleach with the rest of my teeth? and after its been bleached and i start using white strips will it stay the same white as the rest of my teeth?

After your whitening is complete you will have to have the filling replaced if it becomes too apparent, because it will not lighten as will your teeth.

I have cavities, probably a lot. So I need to get them filled. I would also like to get my teeth whitened. Would I be better to do one before the other, or does it not matter?

first n foremost thing get u r cavities filled …if u leave it like tat then dentist have to drill more n more which will torture u u will b having sensitivity

I have a strong desire for tooth white. I brush my teeth, use expensive Crest mouthwash every morning and night. It seems that I will always have a yellow tint on my teeth. I do not smoke nor drink coffee/soda. Posting here to see if I can get any help with tooth white. How can I get white teeth?! Any products you recommend?

For teeth whitening reviews… add baking soda to your toothpaste when you’re brushing your teeth, it may taste gross but it whitens them up – it takes a few months to see anything but it should work. The issue with this is the result. It’s not going to be considerably white. If you want it "good" white, you need an alternative like the teeth whitening kits. My neighbor used it for a few days and I noticed it right away. She said she got the kit through a free trial from a website. Try the kit and if you don’t like it, stick with the baking soda for your teeth whitening reviews. I’ve already got mines shipped.

My friend fell on her face when she was young and it created yellow stains in her teeth. I heard bleaching can get rid of this, is that true?

Internal bleaching could be done, that’s done inside the tooth structure and in one dental visit, at the same time she would need to bleach the rest of her teeth (through bleach trays, laser or any other method offered by a dental professional) so that they will all have the same color. If this doesn’t give the result expected by the patient then there are restorations as the ones mentioned above that could be used. Hope this helps!

Has anyone had the root of their tooth internally bleached?

I am talking about the actual root of the tooth, not the tooth itself. I have discolouring that shows through my gum, the tooth is crowned – so does’nt need bleaching, just the root above/bnehind the gum.

If so……. was it successful? was it expensive?

hate to be the bear of bad news, but it sounds like what you are seeing is metal. There are different types of crowns. I am assuming that you have a porcelain fused to metal crown. Meaning the inside of the crown is metal (silver in color) and stacked on the outside is porcelain, which is tooth colored. Some dentists request that their be a "metal collar" on the crown. It could be that the dentists’ intentions when placing this crown that the margins be set below the gumline (subgingival). Unfortunately over time, your gums can receded, and this "metal" becomes more visible. There is no whitening/bleaching agent that will fix this. The only option would be to have the crown removed and a new one made, this time specifying all porcelain or empress (there are a few other, you can consult with your dentist). Translucency is the key to aesthetic crowns.

If it is actually the root of the tooth that you are seeing, which can vary from yellowish to brown, there is still no way to whiten it. No matter what type of bleach/whitening agent you use NOTHING will change the color of the root surface. I’m sorry

Hi, does anyone know any quick tooth bleaching stuff, thats as good as the US 5 min Plus White stuff? I’ve heard loads about how good it is on the net, but it isn’t available in the UK and its expensive to ship over!

Not sure if it’s the same, but I use Rapid White kits, about £7 for a weeks worth, you just use the gel on your teeth for 10 minutes (it says twice a day but I only do it once a day and it still works just as well). I use them now just when I have an event or whatever and it works wonders, can really see a difference after just one application.
