Tooth whiteners–has anyone ever found a tooth whitener that really works that is affordable?

I checked out the sessions at the dentist which range from 300 dollars to 575 dollars. The more I thought about the price, the more I didnt mind if my teeth were a little bit yellowed. Any good ideas out there???

The quickest and best results are going to be from professional whitening in your dentist’s office, but often at a hefty price (as you discovered).

However, today it’s now possible (in almost all cases) to achieve "dental office" quality teeth whitening, from the comfort of your own home saving you time and money. Basically there are three different types of home teeth whitening available:
(1) Brush-on whitening
(2) Strips you stick on your teeth and
(3) Trays with bleaching gels(this is the most effective method)

To get the best results from your home teeth whitening kit be sure to use form-fitting mouth trays that are fitted to your specific bite and use a 21% concentrated bleaching gel based on carbamide peroxide that is formulated specifically to reduce the sensitivity to your teeth and gums. (In other words – No Glycerin!). And be sure to follow all product directions carefully.

If you want safe and effective teeth whitening products, then I recommend you give the therabrite products a try.

  1. Listerine makes whitening strips that dissolve in your mouth after about 10 minutes. its a little weird, but they work pretty well, especially if you use whitening toothpaste as well and stay away from tea, coffee, red wine, and smoking, which can all stain your teeth!

  4. If your teeth are not that bad you could try the strips. Stay away from those bottles that look like white-out because I was told from a dentist that they can cause more harm than good.
